What are meteorites and asteroids?? - (Physics)?

Got an exam tomorrow, been revising for this for a while, but getting a bit confused between meteorites and asteroids.. They are slightly mentioned in the exam text (this is ideas in context paper so we get the resource booklet a week in advance) Thanks if any one could help out =D
